# Settings and graphics

> Change how fills look, what labels show, the minimum living depth and inferred kitchen storage.

Both windows save their values in the project, so everyone working on the file sees the same thing. Clicking **OK** redraws every checked plan.

## Graphics

Click **QuickBADS → Graphics**.

| Section | Setting |
| - | - |
| Compliance colours | Pass, near (within 2%) and fail colours |
| Storage colours | Full height, under-bench and overhead colours |
| Fill style | **Solid colour tint**, or **Hidden Line**: a light fill with an outline in the grade colour, so the plan stays readable |
| Hidden Line | Fill colour (default white), transparency (default 80%), line weight (default 3) and line type (default QuickBADS Dash). Greyed out unless Hidden Line is ticked. |

## Settings

Click **QuickBADS → Settings**.

### Labels

Show or hide the dimensions, the grade (OK / ALMOST / FAIL) and the area, and set the label size in mm. The reason for an orange or red fill (door, window, robe…) always shows.

### Minimum living depth

**Min living depth from the glazing** (default 3000 mm, 0 = off). The living fill is drawn at least this deep where the room allows, so it never reads as a thin strip along wide glazing.

<Note>
  This depth doesn't change pass or fail. The living area is graded on BADS only: its width along the glazing and its area. If the room is shallower than the setting, the label says **not graded** next to the depth.
</Note>

### Kitchen storage (inferred)

Plans imply kitchen storage that the model often doesn't draw. QuickBADS adds it using the ADG rule of thumb:

| Setting | Default |
| - | - |
| Under-bench: each bench minus the sink, cooktop, oven, dishwasher, fridge and washer | On, 750 mm high |
| Narrowest gap counted | 250 mm |
| Overhead cupboards along the wall side of each bench (only where none are modelled, never on islands) | On, 300 deep × 750 high |
| Overhead above the cooktop / above the sink | On |
| Fridge storage: overhead above the fridge counts (depth from its front) | On |

Click **Kitchen storage: ADG defaults** to put these back.

## Show or hide groups of fills

The first time a plan is checked, QuickBADS adds four view filters to it: **QuickBADS - Main zones**, **Storage**, **Circulation (accessible)** and **Circulation (not accessible)**. Turn them on or off in **Visibility/Graphics → Filters**. Your ticks are kept after that.

<Tip>
  If the plan's view template controls Filters, QuickBADS can't add them. Add them to the template yourself.
