Report a bug

  1. In Revit, click QuickBADS → Report Bug, then Open the report folder.
  2. Email support@quickbads.com with:
    • what you did and what you expected to happen,
    • a screenshot of the plan,
    • the files last-report.txt (the last Place BADS) and last-run.txt (the last update) from that folder,
    • your Revit version.
These two files hold level and apartment names from your model, but no drawings. Nothing is sent unless you send it. We never need your Revit file; if a model would help, we’ll ask and you decide.

Known limits

QuickBADS runs on Revit 2027 on Windows. Earlier Revit versions will follow.
Walls, doors and furniture in linked models are ignored. Model the apartments in the file you check.
Check one plan per level. Placing BADS on a second plan of the same level (for example a sheet plan) removes the fills from the first one.
After ticking BADS Ground Floor on a level, click Place BADS again; ticking alone doesn’t trigger Auto Update. Ground-floor gardens can’t be checked yet and show ?.
Changes that arrive through Synchronize with Central or Reload Latest don’t trigger Auto Update. Click Place BADS to bring the fills up to date.
A balcony is measured inside Revit Railings only. A balustrade modelled as a wall or generic model isn’t treated as the handrail.
A cupboard whose type name says “fridge” is read as a fridge. Set its Mark to P to count it as storage.
If a plan’s view template controls Filters, QuickBADS can’t add its view filters to that plan. Add them to the template yourself.
QuickBADS assumes a 2.7 m ceiling height.
